Less than 2 months left!

I can't believe that there is less than two months until I will be Mrs. Kacie Craig! It just seems like the other day that Ken came back from Warrensburg and I knew we would be together forever!

My mom and I are trying to get all the plans finalized and talk to all the vendors before the big day. It makes it kinda hard that I don't live in the same town as the wedding and the reception will be held, but that's where the mother of the bride comes in! She is helping out greatly! This wedding could would have not happened with out a wonderful mom like her! My stress level is pretty high some days, but I'm trying not to overwhelm myself. We will see how I'm doing in a month! :) To calm myself down, I imagine myself in my dress, walking down the isle looking at Ken in his stunning tux, and all my worries fad away with the tears in my eyes! I just can't wait!

The invitations are out! So remember to turn in your response card ASAP! My mom calls me everyday and tells me who has sent theirs back... so I know who hasn't sent theirs in! I will hunt you down until you turn it in! :)

BACHELORETTE PARTY!

Bachelorette Party at the Wineries!
Get ready for some girly fun on
Saturday, November 3rd
My wonderful bridesmaids have rented a house for thebridesmaids to stay in for the weekend! Yayee! I have the best group of girls as my bridesmaids and I can't wait to have a bonding girls weekend with them!

Sullivan Bridal Shower

Well the Bridal Shower was a success! We had quite the turn out of people and I got so many gifts we had to have three cars to fit them all in! I had such a good time seeing people I hadn't seen in a while. My Matron of Honor Tina Montee made the most delicious food (and tons of it!), my Bridesmaid Christy DeShon came up with the games, Bridesmaid Sarah flew all the way in from New York, and my mom made the most beautiful cake! We played a game where Christy had asked Ken 20 questions then at the shower asked me the same questions... if I got one wrong then I had to put a vary large piece of Double Bubble in my mouth! It was pretty funny. We also had everyone at the shower write a piece of advice on a heart shaped card. They were entertaining to read later! I'm going to make a scrapbook page of it soon, so I always have it to refer to in the years to come! It meant a lot to me that both of Ken's grandma's, his aunt Kathy, and his mom traveled hours to come to the shower!
I also had a few people that helped out tremendously:
My mom! Jari Dawson, Michelle Jones, Glenda Hyde and Joan Strauser... THANK YOU!

Save the Date!

The Save the Date magnets have been printed, made and sent out! We are very excited to get them off the kitchen table! :) I hope everyone displays them on their refrigerators! I still don't have a couple addresses so I'm working on a few I didn't get sent out yet.
Don't know what a Save the Date is or why you got one in the mail?
In case you have never heard of a "Save the Date" I will explain... As Ken calls them, they are an invitation before the invitation. Since our wedding will be around a very stressful and busy time of year (Christmas) I wanted to send out a little note that way people know we are finally engaged :) and to clear their calendars for that specific date! So Save the Date for the happiest day of our life!

The Date and Location!

The big day will take place December 15th 2007!
  • Wedding: Calvary Baptist in Bourbon, MO at 3:00 p.m.
  • Dinner and Reception: Washington Brewery in Washington, MO at 6:00 p.m.

Directions

  • To the Church: Take I-44 to the Bourbon, MO exit. Go South on overpass. Take a Right (West) at the first stop sign onto Old Highway 66 West. Travel approx. 1 mile. Church is on the Right.
  • From the Church to the Reception: Take a Left (East) out of church parking lot to get back onto Old Highway 66. At first stop sign take a Left towards overpass. Merge Right onto I-44 East for 21.6 miles. Take Exit 240 toward St.Clair/Union. Turn Left onto MO-47 and travel 5.7 miles. Turn Left onto MO-50/MO-47 for .4 miles. (Get into right lane of traffic immediately). Turn Right onto MO-47 for 6.5 miles. Take a Left onto Hwy 100 once you enter into Washington. Turn Right at the second (or third, we think they added another stop light lately) stop light onto Jefferson Street. Continue to go East on Jefferson and the Brewery will be on the Left at the bottom of the hill. Look for the Craig wedding sign! Will approximately take 30-45 minutes to travel from the Church to the Reception site.

The beginning

WE ARE ENGAGED!
It was the night of February 2nd 2007 (yes, Groundhog's Day) when the proposal took place. It was quite a surprise after Ken had convinced me that he didn't pick out a ring... then there he was on one knee on the bathroom floor with a ring in his hand. I couldn't have been happier! Finally, he was officially mine! :)

Now, the planning begins... or has it already :) hehe
I wanted a place where friends and family could go to find out information about the wedding.

For example...
Wedding Itinerary, hotel information, and overall the "all you need to know" about the upcoming Craig wedding!

So here you go... I will attempt to post and maintain my first blog!
